Developed by John McTimoney over 30 years ago, the McTimoney method is recognised as being a gentle, precise, whole-body approach to chiropractic care. The gentle nature of this method makes it suitable for people of all ages and stages of life.

McTimoney chiropractors gently adjust the bones of your body. In doing so, they help your joints, muscles, and nervous system work more efficiently, relieving pain and discomfort and increasing your mobility.

As chiropractors, we strive for optimal health by treating your whole body, not just the area where you feel pain. The McTimoney technique uses quick, gentle, and accurate adjustments, which ensure you experience maximum comfort.

Chiropractic is proven to be effective in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. It is commonly regarded as a valuable treatment for mechanical back or neck pain (as opposed to pain following injury), and sciatica, but is also effective in providing relief from shoulder and rotator cuff disorders, headaches arising from the neck, and the prevention of migraine.

Chiropractic treatment supports those maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Chiropractors can help with minor sports injuries and tensions, and the treatment is also good for those who suffer from muscular tension and an inability to relax. Chiropractic is beneficial for people experiencing pain and stiffness in their joints. It may be used to complement the core treatment of hip and knee pain from osteoarthritis, in conjunction with exercise.

I initially qualified as an acupuncturist in 1983 from the College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in Leamington Spa.

After moving to Cardiff in 1983, I began training in McTimoney Chiropractic and qualified as a chiropractor in 1987 from the original McTimoney school in Oxford. I was a clinic tutor at the McTimoney Chiropractic College from 1990 to 2001.

Over the years my ongoing interest in bodywork has led me to train in Zero Balancing from 1993 and in Deep Massage from 1998. My bodywork treatments today are a fusion of McTimoney, Zero Balancing, and Deep Massage to suit the client's needs.

I graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in March 2008 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Human Chiropractic before working in various clinics in Wales and the Southwest. Now my main practice is in north London. Having been a regular practitioner at the practice since September 2010, I now work in Cardiff several times per year to provide cover and maintenance care to my established client base.

Using a combination of McTimoney Chiropractic, Emmett Technique, and Somatic Movement Education, I deliver a safe and effective programme to alleviate pain and restore mobility. I can also work with you remotely (via telephone or video appointments) to offer Somatic Movement classes and long-term pain management for chronic conditions. Visit my website HERE for details about the services I provide.

If you have seen me in the past and would like to attend for treatment, or would like to work with me remotely, please BOOK ONLINE. Here you will also find confirmed dates for my next availability in Cardiff.
